Introduction To ISO 9000:2000
This course will introduce ISO 9000 Series of quality standards to business leaders, managers, quality assurance directors and employees. Participants will be exposed to the universal standard of quality management that has been adopted by more than 130 countries since its issuance by the International Standards Organization (ISO) in 1987. This course was developed to assist both the provider and supplier of the key elements of ISO certification. This course is specifically designed to introduce the participants to the international organization and its standards.

AutoCAD
The course is appropriate for uses in all disciplines-architects, engineers, designers, facilities planners, dafter and others. It is a workshop designed to provide a solid foundation in the basics of 2-D work. Upon completion, the participant will exhibit a working knowledge of drawing commands and an understanding on how to control the screen editor.
Pro/ENGINEERING
This course is appropriate for product development teams to design digital prototypes of a new product idea (or an existing one), try out changes and test out performance in an elegant 3D environment.
Cabling (FDDI-Ethernet COAX Soldering)
This course will enable participants to learn lite manufacturing of multiple types of cables. Our cabling courses will teach the important cabling standards, cabling design and cabling installation procedures in an easy to learn format.

This course brings together youth and senior citizens in a Community Outreach Program. Senior Citizens are provided opportunities to share their resources/experiences with youth.
Basic Computer Training
This course begins with a short history of computer technology to provide perspective on how this technology has evolved, and bring participants up-to-speed regarding the state-of-the-art in information systems. Participants will learn about the major computer system components (i.e., hardware, software and end-users), explore the data-handling aspects of computer systems from input and processing to output and storage, and review computer language basics. Finally, they will have the opportunity to discuss timely topics ranging from ergonomics and computer viruses.

Safety: Construction / OSHA
This course provides participants education and training in potential hazards relating to construction jobs by increasing the awareness. By taking advantage of this training, participants will not only reduce their risk of on-site accidents but also avoid costly fines from OSHA. Our web based safety-training program will further enable participants to receive the training they require.

Subcontractor of TX DOT qualify for the free training the criteria to qualify is that they are a certified DBE currently working or bidding on TX DOT contracts. If you or your support contractor qualifies please don’t hesitate to call and let us be of assistance.
CATEGORIES OF TRAINING: Respondent is not required to provide training in all regions and all categories for their response to be considered.
9.1 CATEGORY I – CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE: Training shall include:
9.1.1 Construction Methods – Train client on proper methods or techniques in evaluating and executing construction or maintenance contract specifications and other contractual obligations as directed within a contract. Region I, II, III, & VIII
9.1.2 Bidding – Train client on effective methods or techniques necessary to submit a responsible and competitive bid in hopes of securing the award of a construction or maintenance contract or becoming a subcontractor. An award does not have to be secured for the service to be considered complete.
9.1.3 Prime Contractor/Subcontractor Relations - Train client on duties, obligations and responsibilities shared between the prime contractor and their contractually obligated subcontractors in the performance of a TxDOT contract.
9.1.4 Project Management - Train client on how to manage or direct the supply of materials, equipment and other incidentals as needed to successfully complete a construction or maintenance project and carry out all the duties and obligations imposed by a TxDOT contract.
9.1.5 Estimating - Train client on effective methods or techniques needed to develop a statement of the cost of work to be performed on a project.
9.1.6 Plan Reading - Train client on interpreting and understanding plan drawings so as to effectively bid on and/or execute the described work.
9.1.7 Pre-Bid Conferences – Train client on responsibilities and TxDOT expectations in reference to a pre-bid conference agenda, which may include but is not limited to, a general review of the completed plans and specifications plus a detailed review of the project’s special requirements.
9.1.8 Pre-Qualification – Train client on interpreting and completing all pre-qualification documentation as specified by TxDOT.
9.6 CATEGORY VI – COMPUTER TRAINING: Train client in the use of application software for business applications such as word-processing software, spreadsheet software, accounting software, payroll software, engineering software, internet usage (i.e. TxDOT’s website-design software, and other relevant software. Region I, II, III, & VIII
9.7 CATEGORY VIII – ENVIRONMENTAL DOCUMENT COMPLIANCE: Train client on the required environmental documentation to be in compliance with TxDOT contracts and relevant government regulations. Region II, VIII
9.8 CATEGORY IX – PROFESSIONAL SERVICES: Train the client on interpreting and completing all pre-certification documentation as specified by TxDOT for Professional Services contracts. Region II, VIII
